Noce, ciliegio, mogano, ma anche castagno e rovere che si accompagnano a raffinati intarsi in bosso, acero, ebano.  Essenze uniche che, lavorate dalle mani di esperti artigiani, creano mobili unici destinati a durare nel tempo e ad attraversare la storia familiare generazione dopo generazione.  Abbiamo già parlato di come il legno si trasformi in modo naturale nel corso del tempo, ma giorno dopo giorno, come dobbiamo prenderci cura di un mobile in stile? Con la delicatezza: questo è il principio che non dovremmo mai dimenticarci.       Niente solventi aggressivi, alcool, silicone o apparecchiature a vapore, che spegnerebbero la naturale luminosità della gommalacca in modo irreparabile.   Prodotti specifici per mobili in legno e pezze di cotone, lino o altre fibre naturali sono il modo migliore per pulirli: anche nel caso in cui si dovesse coprirli, sarà dunque bene scegliere stoffe degli stessi materiali.   Poche gocce di liquido per pulizia sull’apposito panno saranno sufficienti a togliere la polvere e le impronte di mani o l’unto, mentre per pulire angoli e intagli si può usare un pennello di setole naturali.  La miglior garanzia per una lunga durata nel tempo è, oltre ad avere l’accortezza di tenere i mobili al riparo dalla luce solare diretta e prolungata e lontani da fonti di calore o umidità eccessivi, ricordarsi di stendere un sottile strato di cera vergine d’api, da stendere con un sottile panno di lana nel senso della venatura del legno. Ripetere questa operazione ogni tre mesi circa, specie sulle superfici orizzontali e più esposte all’uso, mantiene il legno splendente e facilita il lavoro di pulizia quotidiana.

Walnut, cherry wood, mahogany, but also chestnut wood and oak that combine with refined inlays in boxwood, maple and ebony. Essences unique which, worked by the hands of expert craftsmen, create unique furniture destined to last in time and to cross the family history generation after generation.   We have already talked about how the wood is transformed in a natural way during the time but day after day, how we must take care of a piece of furniture in classic style? With delicacy: this is the principle that we should never forget.    No harsh solvents, alcohol, silicone or devices steam, that could turn off the natural lighting of shellac irreparably. Specific products for wooden furniture and cotton squares covered, linen or other natural fibers are the better way to clean them: also in case you had to cover them, it will therefore be good to choose fabrics of the same materials. Few drops of clean liquid on the appropriate cloth will be enough to remove dust and the handprints or the anointed, while to clean corners and carvings you can use a paint brush with natural bristles.   The best guarantee for a long life, in addition to having the adroitness to keep furniture away from direct sunlight or moisture excessive, is to remember to spread a thin layer of pure beeswax, to apply with a thin woolen cloth in the direction of the wood grain. Repeat this step about every three months, especially on horizontal surfaces and more exposed to the use, keeps the wood shining and makes the work of daily cleaning easy.

Quattro grandi coppe intagliate sostengono un tavolo davvero unico: destinato ad ospitare banchetti eleganti e cene di gala, questo pezzo su misura della collezione Versailles  in stile Luigi XVI  è stato realizzato da Vimercati su espressa richiesta di un cliente in Medio Oriente in misure molto particolari. Al suo metro e 25 centimetri di larghezza si accompagna infatti una lunghezza di ben 8 metri e 20 centimetri.  E se le misure di questo splendido tavolo in stile su misura sono stupefacenti, non meno particolari sono i materiali utilizzati per dargli forma, tutti pregiatissimi: radica di mirto, finitura noce gommalacca, particolari foglia oro.   Tecniche artigianali mutuate dagli antichi ebanisti hanno permesso di raggiungere i consueti risultati di altissima qualità e di fedeltà allo stile Luigi XVI, contraddistinto da motivi ripresi dalle arti greca, egizia e romana uniti alle suggestioni del Rinascimento italiano: è stato proprio grazie ad una lunga tradizione nel campo della realizzazione di arredi classici su misura che è stato possibile dare risposte agli inevitabili quesiti tecnici che una realizzazione di questo tipo comporta, per dare al cliente un prodotto perfetto in ogni particolare e studiato sin nei minimi dettagli.  Il risultato, arredi eleganti nelle forme e ispirati ai concetti di armonia e di equilibrio, arricchiti da intarsi e intagli floreali eseguiti a mano che si dipanano come morbide ghirlande.

Four big carved cups support a incomparable table: designed to hosting elegant banquets and gala dinners, this custom piece of the collectin Versailles with style Luigi XVI has been realized by Vimercati expressly requested from a middle East custode, with very special measures.  To his one meter and 25 centimeters wide is in fact accompanied a lenght of eight meters and 20 centimeters.   And if the measures of this wonderful custom table in style are amazing, not less special materials are used to give shape,  all prized: myrtle briarwood, walnut shellac finish, gold leaf details.   Craft techniques borrowed from the ancient cabinet makers allowed to reach the usual results of highest quality and fidelity to Luigi XVI style, characterized by motifs taken from the arts Greek, Egyptian and Roman joined to the suggestions of the Italian Renaissance: it was thanks to a long tradition in the field of realization of custom classical furnishings that it was possible to give answers to the inevitable technical questions that a technical realization like this entails, to give to the custode a product perfect in every particular and studied down to the smallest details.   The result, elegant furnishings in shapes inspired by the concepts of harmony and balance, enriched by inlays and florar carvings hand made that unfold like soft garlands.

Creato grazie a conoscenze che si tramandano di generazione in generazione, un mobile in stile è, al pari degli arredi di antiquariato, un pezzo unico che in sé racchiude tradizione, arte e l’essenza stessa dei legni di cui è composto, che grazie alle opportune lavorazioni conferiscono al mobile tutto il fascino che lo contraddistingue.   Ma è possibile fare in modo che il suo splendore si conservi negli anni come quando è uscito dalle mani degli artigiani che lo hanno realizzato?   

La risposta è sì, a patto di mettere in atto i dovuti accorgimenti, che non differiscono rispetto a quelli utilizzati per la pulizia di mobili antichi e di ricordarsi che abbiamo comunque a che fare con una materia viva, il legno, che come tale nel tempo subisce alterazioni dovute sia alla propria natura che all’uso.  Per questo con il passare del tempo i mobili in legno, lungi dal perdere il loro fascino, acquistano quello che deriva dalla storia che raccontano di generazione in generazione. Una storia fatta di famiglie che attorno e insieme a quel mobile hanno vissuto, di ambienti diversi e diverse vicissitudini, di quei mutamenti e di quelle trasformazioni che solo un mobile in legno può presentare e che proprio per questo esaltano la sua unicità, la sua propria personalità rispetto a qualsiasi altro mobile.

Da inquadrare nel più vasto fenomeno del neoclassicismo, lo stile Luigi XVI è una reazione al più teatrale stile barocco, che aveva fatto sfoggio di sé per tutto il Seicento, arrivando a improntare anche gli arredi del periodo Luigi XV. Una reazione decisa, ma senza prese di posizione estreme: se lo sguardo è rivolto verso i motivi tipici della classicità, infatti, gli echi barocchi e rococò permangono, donando agli arredi in stile Luigi XVI una maestosità e un’attenzione ai particolari del tutto barocche.   Al virtuosismo spinto fino alle sue estreme conseguenze del periodo precedente, i mobili Luigi XVI contrappongono però una ricercata eleganza, semplificando forme e decorazioni, per le quali si pesca ora a un repertorio che si rifà alle arti greca, egizia e romana, ma anche alla produzione tipica del Rinascimento italiano.  Ecco così che sugli arredi in stile Luigi XVI, diffusi in particolare nella seconda metà del Settecento, si dipanano greche, nastri e ghirlande, sbocciano grandi composizioni floreali e fanno capolino riccioli e arabeschi. La ricchezza delle decorazioni che adornano ogni arredo non è più improntata alla ridondanza, ma all’eleganza delle forme e a un ideale di armonia e di equilibrio tipicamente classici.  Uno stile raffinato e aristocratico che trova espressione nelle produzioni di arredo italiano artigianale di lusso Vimercati, che agli amanti dello stile Luigi XVI propone le collezioni White & Gold notte e White & Gold giorno ora anche nella nuovissima versione in noce e oro oltre alla sala da pranzo Luigi XVI Versailles .

The style Luigi XVI, to be placed in the wider phenomenon of classicism, is a reaction to the most theatrical Baroque style, which have made show of himself throughout the fifteenth Century, coming to impress also the furniture of the age Luigi XV. Non potevano mancare anche gli arredi Vimercati alla Interior Mebel di Kiev, in Ucraina, che alla sue seconda edizione si pone già come un evento di primo piano nell’ambito dell’arredo tanto classico quanto moderno.  Ad avere un ruolo da protagonista, proprio la grande – e apprezzatissima – tradizione mobiliera italiana, che può offrire prodotti e soluzioni di primissimo piano sia nella proposta di arredi moderni e contemporanei sia nel campo del mobile classico di lusso in stile: presenti tutti i grandi marchi del Made in Italy, che in questa raffinatissima fiera ucraina vedono la possibilità di apertura a un mercato, quello dell’est Europa, in continua espansione e la possibilità di un sempre più solido ponte verso il mondo russo, grande estimatore dei prodotti italiani.  Migliaia di architetti, designer, commercianti e rivenditori, ma anche di clienti finali e semplici appassionati hanno dunque affollato tra il 20 e il 23 febbraio i padiglioni dello IEC, il centro fieristico di Kiev, per conoscere le ultime tendenze, visitare gli stand e partecipare ai numerosi eventi collaterali, come quelli dedicati alla “Mise en table”, ovvero come fare della tavola un’esperienza sensoriale, i seminari dello IED su illuminazione e condivisione del know-how, ma anche il concerto di gala dell’Accademia Teatro alla Scala, che ha deliziato gli ospiti con Mozart, Verdi, Puccini.  È proprio in questa atmosfera colta e raffinata che si sono inserite anche le produzioni Vimercati, che per l’occasione ha deciso di presentare un letto in stile 700 italiano caratterizzato dalla testata capitonné con cornice e cimasa riccamente intagliate a mano, il tutto impreziosito dalla finitura foglia oro e foglia argento. Al letto sono stati abbinati comodini e comò in noce intagliato, sempre in stile 700 italiano e con particolari intagliati e dorati, oltre alla grande specchiera a muro. A completamento della camera da letto, non poteva mancare un elegante scrittoio: ben si abbinava alla composizione scelta questo modello in stile Luigi XV, sempre in legno di noce con particolari intagliati e dorati.  Molti i visitatori tanto tra gli addetti ai lavori quanto tra i privati – a tutti loro va il ringraziamento di Vimercati per l’interesse dimostrato – e grande anche l’attenzione per queste proposte di arredo in stile, che in questo mercato continua ad essere particolarmente apprezzato e ricercato.

They could not miss Vimercati furniture at Interior Mebel in Kiev – Ukraine, that for the second edition is already an event of major importance in classical and modern furnishing. To have a starring role, is just the big and appreciated traditional Italian furniture, that can offers products and solutions of the highest order both in the proposal of modern and contemporary furniture both in the field of classical furniture luxury style: there were all the major brands of Made in Italy, that see in this refined Ukrainian Fair, the possibility of opening to the East Europe growing market, and the possibility of a solid bridge to the Russian world, great estimator of Italian products. Thousand of architects, designers, dealers and retailers, but also final customers and simple enthusiasts between 20 and 23 February have crowded the halls of the IEC, the exhibition centre in Kiev, to know the last trends, to visit the stands and to take part to the numerous events, like the one dedicated to the “Mise en table”, that is how to make the table a sensory experience, the workshops of the IED on lighting and sharing of know-how, but also the gala concert of the La Scala Theatre Academy, which has delighted the guests with Mozart, Verdi, Puccini.  Vimercati production was included also just in this cultured and refined atmosphere, which on this occasion have decided to show a Bed style 700 italiano, characterized by the capitonné headboard with the frame and the coping having rich hand carving, all enriched from gold leaf and silver leaf finishing. To the bed were matched walnut carved night tables and chest of drawers, also style 700 italiano and with carved and gilded particulars, besides the big wall mirror. To complete the bedroom, could not miss an elegant desk: this model style Luigi XV, always in walnut wood with carved and gilded particulars, is well matched to the composition submitted.  Many visitors both among the insiders and among private – to all of them deserve the thanks of Vimercati for the interest – and great also the attention for this classical furniture proposals, that in this market continue to be appreciated and sought.

La ricercata eleganza dello stile Luigi XVI rivive nelle forme di gusto neoclassico della collezione per la zona giorno che proprio dallo stile in voga nella seconda metà del Settecento mutua le sue caratteristiche. La calda tonalità del noce è esaltata dalle luminose decorazioni dorate che, secondo i dettami dell’arte mobiliera stile Luigi XVI, si srotolano sulle colonnine tornite della credenza e della vetrina in forma di ghirlande fiorite, traboccano dalla grande specchiera come cuscini di foglie e ne adornano la cimasa in morbide cascate.
